Area: Downtown (River/Myrtle)
Purpose: Mixed Use Office
Office Space: 150,000 Sq Ft (Subject to Change)
Estimated Project Cost: $76,000,000
Developer: Jim Kissler, Schlosser Development Corporation
Architecture/Design Firm(s): CSHQA
Notes: Phase II of the Whole Foods development has undergone numerous changes in the last 6 years: at one point being 17-floors of condos/apartments, then adjusted to a 7-floor hotel, and as of 2013, a 7-9-floor midrise building with retail and possible residential/office components. This proposal is listed as “Inactive” because in 2013 a parking lot was constructed over the footprint of where this development is slated to be built.
At a February 4th, 2013 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting, it was stated that the design for Phase 2 is not yet known, so the above rendering is likely a placeholder until a more formal announcement for Phase 2 is made. Based on comments from the developer at the 2013 meeting, it’s possible we could see movement on this development in late 2014 or 2015.
